This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a dedicated, experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our fabulous team at Combe Lea. Combe Lea is a purpose built 30‑bedded residential care home. We support older adults living with varying degrees of frailty and a diagnosis of Dementia in a homely environment. Combe Lea is situated in Midsomer Norton, Somerset and is based over 3 floors. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working in a supervisory position supporting the Registered Manager with maintaining exceptional high levels of care and support to the residents.
You will be responsible for managing shifts over a 4‑week rolling rota which includes alternative weekends and Bank Holidays. This is a permanent role of 33 hours per weekdays, 12 hour shifts with one hour break. Your duties will include dealing with the day‑to‑day management of Combe Lea, supervision of staff, rota cover, undertaking audits and staff development. You will be required to have a good knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations, following policy and procedure in a proactive manner.
Compensation & Benefits
We provide additional pay enhancements for all roles, applicable to shifts worked during weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
