At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people’s lives. Our Waste Collection Department is responsible for the removal of household waste, garden waste and commercial waste and recycling. Collections are made from a variety of locations including houses, shops and schools within the Bath & North East Somerset Council area. Our waste collection department is made up of several operational roles and we are keen to encourage training and development.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for collecting domestic and commercial refuse, garden waste and commercial recycling.
- This will require continuous physical effort throughout the working day as well as strength and endurance.
- It involves walking significant distances every day and lifting bags of waste into collection vehicles, with the majority of the work being outdoors in all weather conditions.
