About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker, with existing supervisory experience to take on a leadership role at a time of significant transformation within Children's Services. Our new Family Help Model aims to bring together professionals supporting the child, ensure families tell their story once and can build strong consistent relationships with practitioners.
About you:
We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience of children's social work practice, including child protection, child in need planning and managing care proceedings. You will have a strong track record of supervising and developing practitioners, supporting reflective practice and providing effective management oversight. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, able to manage competing demands while maintaining a clear focus on high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children. Most importantly, we are seeking a leader who is passionate about improving the lives of children and families and who is committed to supporting children to remain safely within their families wherever possible through strengths based, restorative practice.
What you can expect:
- A comprehensive induction programme
- Regular supervision with your Head of Service
- Monthly Peer Circles, promoting collaboration, support and shared learning between Team Managers
- Extensive learning and development opportunities, which include SARI workshops, Systemic Practice, Attachment-informed and trauma-informed practice training
- Excellent business support within each team
- Tri-annual Social Work Conferences with nationally recognised speakers and experts in the field
