About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Coordinator to help motivate and support our high-performing Street Works Team. Somebody who is able and willing in taking ownership and supporting network coordinators and inspectors with advice, technical knowledge, and decision-making, whilst also providing hands on support to the Principal Street Works Engineer with practical problem-solving solutions.

About You

  • Experience: A pragmatic problem-solver who can take the initiative, think on their feet, and remain calm in unforeseen situations. Able to confidently interact with work promoters, contractors, councillors, and members of the public, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate and negotiate key issues. Experience of temporary traffic management and street works on the public highway.
  • Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of civil engineering materials, methodology and properties. Confidence in interpreting both primary and secondary street / road works legislation to ensure the successful administration of the Councils’ Permitting Scheme and associated licences.
  • Skills: Able to evaluate and recommend optimal traffic management plans and timings of work. Strong interpersonal skills for influencing meeting outcomes, proactively managing workload, providing guidance to others, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Innovation: Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo and support continuous improvement within the Street Works Team.
