We are looking for an Environmental Health practitioner to join our friendly Food Safety team, on a permanent basis. Bath is a beautiful Georgian city that has been designated as a World Heritage site. It offers great boutique shopping, fantastic entertainment, fabulous festivals and a remarkable range of restaurants, bars and cafes. You’ll find the local authority landscape is different here. We are keen to innovate, so we will actively encourage your fresh ideas and enthusiasm.

About The Role

You will be required to undertake proactive and reactive food hygiene inspections and interventions, complaints and cases of food borne disease.

About You

You will have a BSc or MSc in Environmental Health, be CIEH Registered, or working towards this, and have proven current experience as an authorised Food Safety Officer. You will possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills, and be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative. This role requires you to travel throughout the Bath and North East Somerset area, and so a current driving licence is essential. The Council does provide a number of pool cars for work use, and so access to your own vehicle is not essential.
