About the Team

Bath & North East Somerset Virtual School is a knowledgeable and supportive team dedicated to improving educational outcomes for Children Looked After (CLA) and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). Working as part of the Virtual School, you will contribute to wider educational planning where required and play an important role in supporting vulnerable young people who may have experienced disrupted education, trauma, displacement and other barriers to learning.

About the Role

Bath & North East Somerset Virtual School is seeking Casual ESOL/EAL Teachers/Tutors to support Children Looked After (CLA) and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). This rewarding role involves delivering bespoke English language tuition to young people. You will help learners develop their English language skills, build confidence and progress into education and training. Tuition may be delivered online or in person and will be tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner or small group. The role also includes monitoring progress, providing reports and contributing to wider educational planning where required. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of vulnerable young people as part of a knowledgeable and supportive Virtual School team.

About You

You will be an experienced ESOL/EAL Teacher or Tutor with the ability to deliver bespoke English language tuition tailored to individual learners or small groups. You will be committed to supporting vulnerable young people, helping them develop their English language skills, build confidence and progress into education and training. You will be able to monitor progress, provide reports and work collaboratively with the wider Virtual School team to support positive educational outcomes.
