Job Summary
At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives. We are looking for a Housekeeper to be based in one of our Community Resource Centres (CRC) at Combe Lea Resource Centre in Midsomer Norton on a part‑time basis. This is a permanent contract supporting our housekeeping team: 30 hours per week on a four‑week rolling rota.
What is a Community Resource Centre (CRC)?
Bath and North East Somerset have two care homes which are Community Resource Centres in Bath and Midsomer Norton. Each CRC includes a residential care home for 30 to 45 people, providing care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic tasks which maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the care home, considering the wishes of service users.
- Be a good team player with strong communication skills.
- Develop appropriate and professional relationships with residents and carers, valuing them as individuals and maintaining effective communication.
- Undertake laundry services for residents and the care home, including sorting, washing, ironing, and operating laundry equipment.
- Clean soft furnishings within the home.
- Keep up‑to‑date written records.
