The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
This post provides a Welcome Payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.
Enhanced Pay Opportunities: We provide additional pay enhancements for all roles, applicable to shifts worked during weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
About the Role: Are you a dedicated care worker looking for a rewarding leadership role? Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a compassionate and skilled Extra Care Support Worker to join our vibrant community at Avondown House in Bath. As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Services, you will play a crucial part in our team, providing holistic, person-centred care and practical support for our tenants. Your role will be to empower individuals to live independently with dignity and choice. This opportunity involves a rota system, including early shifts starting at 7:30am and late shifts ending at 21:30. You will work every other weekend, with enhancements paid for any bank holidays and weekends worked.
About You: While previous experience in a senior care role is advantageous, a commitment to delivering quality care is essential. Full training will be provided. This role is perfect for individuals looking to advance their careers and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and friendly environment.
What is Extra Care? Extra Care Housing offers adults with care needs an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat within a purpose-built or adapted scheme. Our Extra Care housing services have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as of June 2022.
