About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant (Nights) to join our team at Greenacres on a part‑time, permanent basis:
- Hours: 5 Hours per week
- Shifts: Set rota, night shifts, every other weekend and some bank holidays (enhancements paid)
As a Night Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting tenants with their overnight needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and respected throughout the night. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care (e.g. toileting, bathing, dressing, mobility support)
- Administering prescribed medication under supervision
- Supporting tenants with meals and hydration as needed
- Monitoring wellbeing and updating care records accurately
- Responding to emergencies and administering first aid
- Encouraging independence and choice in all aspects of care
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and using initiative when needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference. You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Are caring, respectful and committed to high‑quality care
- Have experience in personal care or social support (or are keen to learn – full training provided)
- Communicate clearly and compassionately
- Are confident working with vulnerable individuals, including those with complex or challenging needs
- Can stay calm and professional in emotionally demanding situations
A Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) is desirable, along with knowledge of care standards, safe use of equipment and electronic care recording systems.
