Climbing Arborist x 2
37 hours per week – Enhancements are paid for weekend and Bank Holiday working
Based at our Radstock Depot
Level I RP015(B) – Grade 5: Salary: £28,142- £30,024 per annum (£14.59 – £15.56 per hour)
Level II RP016 – Grade 6: Salary: £31,537- £33,699 per annum (£16.35 – £17.47 per hour)
Level Dependent On Qualifications.
This is a career grade post to allow staff to develop and progress careers.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our in-house services that we operate in keeping our beautiful parks and open spaces and our cemeteries and crematorium throughout Bath and North East Somerset. If you’d like to join our passionate, enthusiastic team we’d love you hear from you. You’ll need to be physically fit to meet the job description requirements and be prepared to work outdoors in all weather.
The purpose of this post is to carry out various aspects of skilled practical and technical arboriculture work within the Bath and North East Somerset area to a high standard as directed by the Tree officer, or as specified by the client or the client\’s agents.
About You
- Good arboriculture equipment knowledge with the ability to obtain new skill sets when training is provided
- Ability to make analytical reasoning and recommendations about particular areas of work.
- Ability to engage with customers and contractors within the relevant codes of practice
- Proven ability to practically apply legislation including health and safety
- Ability to manage own work without close supervision including lone working in all weathers and at all hours.
Qualifications
- CS30 chainsaw maintenance & cross cutting
- CS31 Small tree felling
- CS38 Level 2 Tree climbing & rescue
- CS39 Level 3 arial cutting of trees using free fall techniques
- as a minimum
