Registered Building Inspector (2A-F) Building Control

Duties and responsibilities of the Role:
- Assess Building Regulation applications for compliance with Building Regulation across the city and wider area and carry out appropriate enforcement activity where necessary.
- Liaise with applicants and agents in relation to Building Regulation applications.
- Undertake site inspection activity in relation to Building Regulation applications.
- Undertake assessments of dangerous structures to ensure public safety is maintained and carry out other public safety work.
- Operate in accordance with defined protocols and procedures, to ensure compliance with the Operating Standards Rules.
Essential skills/qualifications:
- A member of a relevant professional body e.g. RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent, or working towards this.
- Educated to degree level or have suitable experience.
- Current in terms of Continuing Professional Development.
