About the School

Twerton Nursery & Infant School is a 2-form entry infant school with an onsite Nursery for 2 and 3 year olds. It is a local authority maintained school that works closely with six primary schools in BANES and Somerset through the South Gloucester Learning Alliance, providing widespread support and CPD. Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Reading Teaching Assistant to join a small team to support individuals and small groups of children in developing and improving their reading skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reading instruction and activities for children, supporting the lead teacher and curriculum.
  • Provide additional support to students as needed to enhance their reading abilities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Read Write Inc preferred, although training can be provided for suitable candidates.
  • Enthusiastic commitment to encouraging children to read.

Working Hours

This is a permanent position. Working days are Monday to Friday inclusive, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm each day.
