At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives. Heritage Services manage some of the UK’s most impressive buildings in Bath including the Victoria Art Gallery and the Pump Room & Roman Baths, visited by over 1 million people each year.
Role Overview
The Operations Team performs an essential role in preparing these sites before they open to the public, keeping them safe and running smoothly during the day, and setting up/striking for functions in the evening. This role involves a wide range of duties that include general cleaning, washroom replenishment, security, patrolling and porterage duties.
Working Hours
Day Operations Assistants work four days of 0700-1600, have two days off, then work four days of 1300-2200, have two days off and so on.
