Salary: Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27-P35 £32,186.70 - £40,015.50 per annum, pro rata)

Key Purpose

To contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department. Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
  • To deliver GCSE English Language 2.0 and Functional Skills to 16-18 learners and adults (daytime and/or evening).
  • To produce sequencing documents, lesson and assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
  • To help co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
  • To communicate assessment and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Relevant Degree
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4
  • Teaching qualification
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of curriculum development, delivery, and raising of standards for Academic staff
