Shared Lives is a service where the carer uses their own home, household members and daily life to provide support to people who have eligible needs. Could you make a difference to the lives of people in your local community by welcoming a person into your home? We want people who are passionate about offering high quality, personalised support to contact us.

Respite stays involve the client staying overnight; the carer would need to have a suitably equipped bedroom available for any respite stays they accommodate. Our respite rates range from £170 to £205 per overnight stay.

The scheme offers full training, the support of a dedicated coordinator and a detailed matching process with potential clients. There are significant tax incentives available for Shared Lives households: £20,440 per household per year PLUS £515 per person supported per week (up to a maximum of 3 people) tax‑free. There are several different options for providing support. This role can work around childcare, having another job or as an additional household income.

Application Details: Please register your interest by emailing one of our coordinators. We will respond and arrange an initial conversation to discuss the scheme and gather some basic information from you.

Safeguarding Statement: We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. We follow safer recruitment practices and appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and local authority check.
