Bank Contract (Casual/Zero Hours Contract)

Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27-P35 £32,186.70 - £40,015.50 full time equivalent)

Key Purpose

To play an active role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the Sports curriculum, ensuring that learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for success in the industry. The postholder will contribute to the planning, development, and organisation of engaging and innovative learning experiences that reflect current trends and employer expectations. This includes supporting curriculum design, assessment, and enrichment activities to maintain excellence and relevance in the Department’s provision. Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
  • To deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes including functional skills, work skills and tutoring.
  • To deliver on Level 1, 2, 3 and HE programmes as required by the demands of the curriculum including the Personal Training L3 programme.
  • Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
  • To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
  • To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Relevant Degree in Sport or related subject.
  • Teaching Qualification.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above.
