Bath & North East Somerset Council is looking for creative, enthusiastic, and flexible Catering Assistants to work across our two sites in Bath and Midsomer Norton on a bank/casual basis. Shifts are not guaranteed and may include day, evening, or weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transportation and delivery of food from the kitchen to care homes.
- Wash and dry catering equipment and crockery.
- Support the team in serving food and drink to service users and visitors as directed.
- Clean dining and kitchen areas.
- Set up dining space for each service.
- Ensure sufficient supplies of clean crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are available.
- Communicate effectively with care staff, service users and visitors.
- Act as a proactive team player, working independently when required.
