About the role

The role involves providing administrative support to the safeguarding and quality assurance service which is responsible for safeguarding issues in relation to children, including the oversight and review of children who are deemed to be at risk and subject to a child protection plan and children placed in the care of the Local Authority. As part of the safeguarding and quality assurance service you will provide administrative support to Independent Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers, coordinate the delivery and review of child protection conferences and support the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) who is responsible for managing allegations against professionals working with children.

About you

You will be able to evidence excellent IT skills and be able to quickly learn and navigate software and systems. You are organized, can take accurate notes at meetings and prioritize and manage competing demands. You are flexible in your approach to meet the requirements of a busy team, have an informed and professional manner when dealing with customers and clients, and can process confidential and sensitive information in line with corporate and national guidelines.

Varied – blended working arrangements which include office (Keynsham, Midsomer Norton and Bath) and home; travel may be required.
