At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives. We are seeking motivated Assistant Programme Managers to join the Capital Programme and Project Delivery Service within the Sustainable Communities Directorate.

Our service is responsible for delivering a wide variety of ambitious and exciting programmes, encompassing ambitious projects to promote active travel, improve our parks and green infrastructure and develop our own corporate and commercial estate and progress decarbonisation. You will have the chance to work across different programmes, providing a great opportunity to broaden your experience and learning.

Our programmes and projects span both the built and natural environment, giving you the chance to work across Bath and North East Somerset on a unique range of sites and with different communities, including within the setting of a World Heritage City. Programmes will be at different stages of development and delivery and will vary in size and scale.

You will bring your knowledge and experience in programme management, working closely with colleagues across the Capital Programme and Project Delivery Service, other service areas within the Council, and partner organisations to support programme governance.

This role offers the opportunity for flexible working, with a combination of home and office working. Office time can be split across our office sites in the Guildhall in Bath, Keynsham Civic Centre and the Hollies in Midsomer Norton.
