About the Team

The team provides financial and resource management support for the Council’s services covering areas such as Education, Social Care, Safeguarding, Commissioning, Public Health, Green Transformation, Sustainability, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Development, Environment and Partnership Services. Promoting the efficient and effective use of resources through proactive financial and resource management advice. Providing comprehensive financial services including accounting, budgeting, analysis, financial systems and financial administration. Providing financial advice to the Council Executive, Overview & Scrutiny and senior management. Attending management meetings.

About the Role & You

Three year apprenticeship in Finance with AAT training and business administration elements in the first year. Progression to specialised and technical finance functions depends on progress in studies and performance. At the end of three years, apprentices specialising in Finance will achieve a Level 3 AAT qualification. Additional corporate training such as customer service skills, coaching, IT and personal development plans will be provided. Main place of work is the Civic Centre in Keynsham. Travel between offices will be reimbursed.
