Join Us as an Alternative Learning Team Manager

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a creative, ambitious, and compassionate leader to manage our Alternative Learning Team.

This is a maternity cover role starting 1st February 2026 for 10 months (ending November 2026), offered at 0.8 FTE with flexible working arrangements available.

About The Role

As Team Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the council meets its statutory duties around Section 19 provision and Elective Home Education. You’ll work collaboratively with young people, families, schools, social care teams, and alternative education providers to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people who need tailored educational support.
