Bright Start Children's Centres provide vital early help and support to families with children under 8 years from across Bath and North East Somerset so they may have the best start in life. We are looking to recruit a friendly and welcoming Receptionist Administrator to join our happy team on a casual basis.

About The Role

We have a team of five Receptionist Administrators at our three Children's Centres so this role will provide plenty of opportunities for work providing cover throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering the phone promptly and dealing with enquiries efficiently
  • Supporting building health, safety and compliance
  • Making new room bookings using Outlook
  • Processing petty cash claims and other simple finance functions
  • General administration tasks e.g., photocopying, data entry, typing and taking minutes, updating spreadsheets where necessary
  • Meeting and greeting visitors face-to-face
  • Dealing with challenging situations in a calm, empathic manner
  • Working as a team in supporting visitors, colleagues, and service users
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues in other areas

About You

You will need to have experience in a customer-facing role with excellent customer service and administration skills, strong attention to detail, and a courteous and effective manner. The successful applicant must be willing to travel across all three Children's Centre sites in Bath, Keynsham and Radstock with a flexible approach to cover sickness, annual leave and other absences that could be at short notice.
