Key Responsibilities- Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
- Deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes, including personal development curriculum, enrichment activities and tutor support.
- Teach programmes in FE, HE, T Levels and Adult Learning as required by the curriculum demands.
- Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
- Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
- Work proactively towards the development of new programmes and the improvement of courses within the curriculum area, enabling growth and protecting quality of provision.
- Champion the success and vision of the department and the College.
- Relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry) or Forensic Investigation, or a related subject.
- Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards a Level 5 teacher qualification.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above.
- Demonstrated e‑literacy and competence in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- Commitment to fulfilling quality assurance requirements of awarding bodies and the College.
- Evidence of delivering good to outstanding learning experiences.
