Job Summary
Fixed term contract, 37 hours per week, until 31 July 2027. Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27‑P35 £32,186.70 – £40,015.50). Interview date: Radstock Campus, 29 June.
Job purpose: To deliver teaching and learning, administer assessment processes within the department and across other departments on a serviced‑in basis; to work flexibly across a range of courses, both face‑to‑face and remote; to adhere to and administer Health and Safety policies and procedures; to assist in recruitment, assessment, enrolment, and induction of students; and to contribute to curriculum planning and effective running of the department.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment procedures and processes in accordance with examination requirements.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment.
- Deliver functional skills English and Mathematics from Entry to Level 2.
- Produce sequencing documents, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and other related activities that impact the effectiveness of learning.
- Co‑ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team, including tracking and monitoring of student progress.
- Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and learners.
- Work pro‑actively to forward the success and vision of the department.
- Contribute effectively to the Teaching Communities strategy, and engage positively in developing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
Qualifications and Skills
- A teaching qualification.
- Level 4 qualification in English/Mathematics or a related qualification.
- Knowledge of the current functional skills syllabus for English and Maths.
