Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. This role supports delivery of practical sessions for learners, both independently as an instructor and in support of lecturing staff. Responsibilities include maintaining safe working practices, ensuring clean and tidy specialist areas, and equipping classrooms and studios with necessary materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine housekeeping in specialist areas.
  • At times lead taught sessions with students, following plans of learning for associated courses.
  • Seek professional advice and guidance on specific machinery and equipment from specialists, and maintain machines and equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Organise and deliver efficient and effective assessment according to Awarding Body Standards to support lecturing staff.
  • Maintain learner assessment records in accordance with examining body requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualified to degree level in one of the subject areas highlighted below: Art and Design specialising in Screen printing and/or Fashion and Textiles.
