Description: Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The main purpose of the post is to deliver student recruitment growth while building the College’s reputation as a provider of high-quality education. The post holder will promote corporate objectives and will take responsibility for developing and leading the implementation of a new marketing, student recruitment campaigns and external relations strategy for the College.
The person chosen to lead marketing and student recruitment at this crucial time in the College’s development will possess excellent leadership skills, be an excellent communicator and relationship builder and have strong analytical skills, together with an ability to inspire confidence from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Developing and leading the marketing, student recruitment and communications strategy for the College, with an accompanying action plan.
- Developing a suite of metrics and KPIs in support of the Marketing Strategy and, as a key component of the annual business plan, be accountable for performance against these KPIs.
- Acting as a key adviser to the Head of Employer Engagement & Marketing, providing market research and data analysis to assist in decision making, including curriculum planning and business development.
- Leading and developing a high-performing marketing team to act proactively in promoting the College and its services, managing out-sourced marketing activities as appropriate.
- Strategically leading the end-to-end student recruitment process supported by the Student Services Manager.
- Planning highly creative, innovative and targeted aspirational recruitment campaigns designed to achieve clearly defined growth targets in an increasingly competitive market.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Either a nationally recognised senior industry qualification, e.g. CIPR, CIM etc or a degree or equivalent qualification L6 or above.
- Evidence of recent and relevant CPD.
- Significant experience held in a strategic marketing role in a comparable sector.
- In depth understanding of the education sector and the methods of engaging learners and potential learners.
