Description: Bank contract/zero hours. Unqualified Lecturers – Full Time equivalent: £30,348 - £32,186. Qualified Lecturers – Full Time equivalent: £32,186 - £40,015. Interviews will be held 19th March.

To contribute to the Department’s aim in providing high quality learning and teaching, assisting in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area – Health. Managing, reviewing and assessing a range of programmes and levels across the Health strand, and providing tutor support. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
• Provide induction, initial assessment, advice and guidance to learners undertaking full time programmes of study.
• Deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes, specifically with a clinical health focus.
• Support the delivery on the T Level Health, BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care, and HE programmes as required by the demands of the curriculum.
• Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
• Co‑ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
• Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
• Deal with queries when supervising learners.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

• Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards.
• Relevant Qualification in Health.
• Experience of working in a care or clinical setting (i.e. hospital ward; nursing; medical; care home; nursing home; domiciliary care).
• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to fulfilling quality assurance requirements of awarding bodies and the College.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the BTEC Level 3 Qualifications framework and/or Health Care T Levels.
