Fixed term contract, 22.5 hours per week, until 31 July 2027.

Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27-P35 £32,186.70 - £40,015.50).

Key Purpose - To contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department. Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
  • To deliver GCSE English Language 2.0 and Functional Skills to 16-18 learners and adults (daytime and/or evening).
  • To produce sequencing documents, lesson and assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
  • To help co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
  • To communicate assessment and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.

  • Relevant Degree.
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of curriculum development, delivery, and raising of standards for Academic staff.
