Job Overview: This is a great opportunity for a customer focused manager, who has had experience of working in the Hair & Beauty industry. You should possess excellent communication, organisational skills and IT Skills and enjoy working in a busy environment with young people. You’ll help to lead the Academy, ensuring it runs smoothly by supporting the team with the operational day-to-day running of the Academy Reception, Dispensary, Salons and Curriculum areas. You will be able to work individually on your own initiative but also be a strong team leader, someone who is able to lead by example and motivate their team to ensure targets are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational aspects of the Hair & Beauty Academy, including client bookings, staffing of commercial sessions, stock control, and maintenance of equipment and resources.
- Work closely with curriculum staff to ensure the Academy supports high‑quality teaching, learning, assessment, and the delivery of realistic industry practice.
- Provide line management, supervision, and guidance to technicians, reception staff, and students working within the Academy environment.
- Lead on health, safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards within the commercial salons, ensuring full compliance with college policies and industry regulations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- To have managerial / supervisory qualifications and/or relevant experience of working in a similar role in industry.
- Level 3 in Beauty and/or Hair.
