We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Freelance Hockey Coach to join our dedicated coaching team. You will be responsible for assisting the coaches delivering high-quality, engaging hockey sessions for our youth team on Sunday mornings from 10:30am to 12:30pm for a period of 13 weeks, starting 27th April 2025. Some experience coaching youth hockey is desired but not vital.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with the head coach and other coaching staff to provide a cohesive training program.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure a safe environment for players.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and coaching staff to provide feedback and updates.
Desired Qualifications:
- Level 1 Coaching Badge in hockey or equivalent.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
- Experience coaching youth hockey.
- Strong knowledge of hockey rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
