We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Accountant to cover a maternity leave. The role involves providing financial and management accounting support and advice to Council services, as well as assisting with a new financial system implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and management accounting support to a variety of Council services.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new financial system.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to non‑finance colleagues and build relationships with Budget Managers across the organisation.
  • Work independently to meet deadlines while collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

  • Part‑qualified accountant.
  • Fundamental Excel skills and strong numeracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on site at Keynsham Civic Centre at least one day a week.
