At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose - to improve people's lives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care and support professional to join our Supported Living Service as a coordinator.
About the Team
We support a range of service users at various properties in Bath & North East Somerset. The majority of the people we support have learning disabilities, many also have autism and/or other complex needs. We support people to maintain their tenancies and to live as independently as possible. We are a CQC registered service.
About the Role
- Planning of rotas in collaboration with deputy managers
- Supervision of staff
- Contributing to care reviews
- Leading the delivery of the service, modelling good support and overseeing the plan for a day, shift or weekend
- Working every other weekend to ensure people are supported and any actions required are followed up
- Seeking advice from the on-duty or on-call deputy or manager as required
- Support plan and risk assessment updates
- Competency checks and limited audits
- Induction of staff
- Participation in on-call rota
- Onward referrals for specialist support
- Safeguarding referrals and participation in meetings

About You
- Care experience - such as having been a support worker in a CQC registered service or close equivalent.
- Transferable skills
- The ability to work in a physically demanding role
