The Architect in Bath is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our culinary team. As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. We are looking for someone who shares our love for food, embraces creativity, and has exceptional culinary skills. The Architect is a Grade 2 listed building located on Orange Grove, overlooking Pulteney Bridge with a small terrace that looks out onto the Abbey. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from around the world.
Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations as Head Chef, including menu development and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Drive the business forward by formulating seasonal menus in collaboration with Executive Chefs and the pub manager.
- Oversee the food culture within your pub, manage stock, gross profit (GP) and labour controls.
Qualifications
- Experience as a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager, or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh-food environment.
- Responsible for the food culture within your pub and working closely with the pub manager to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
