Batchelors Motor Group is looking for a reliable and experienced Vehicle Delivery & Transport Driver to join our team on a part‑time basis.
This is a flexible role, ideally suited to someone who already has experience in the automotive, HGV, recovery or transport industry and is looking for flexible hours.
You will be responsible for driving our Iveco truck and trailer to transport vehicles between our dealerships and to other motor dealers, helping us keep vehicles moving efficiently across the group.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include:
Driving an Iveco truck and trailer safely and professionally
Moving new and used vehicles between Batchelors Motor Group locations
Completing inter-dealer vehicle transfers
Carrying out vehicle movements between Malton, York, Ripon and other locations as required
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and completing the necessary checks
Ensuring vehicles are transported carefully and arrive in the required condition
Completing basic vehicle and trailer checks
Maintaining accurate delivery and collection records
Representing Batchelors Motor Group professionally when dealing with customers, manufacturers and other dealers
Hours
The position is 10 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional overtime as and when required.
The workload will vary depending on vehicle movements and business requirements, so this role would suit someone looking for a flexible part‑time position alongside other commitments.
Who We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
HGV driving
Vehicle recovery / roadside assistance
Automotive transport
Vehicle preparation or dealership operations
Mechanical or automotive roles
You must have proven experience driving a vehicle and trailer combination and be confident manoeuvring and transporting vehicles safely.
A background as a mechanic, HGV driver, recovery driver or automotive professional would be particularly well suited to this position.
You Will Need
Appropriate licence and entitlement to drive the vehicle/trailer combination
A strong understanding of vehicle safety and secure transportation
A clean, responsible and professional approach to driving
Reliability and flexibility
The ability to work independently and manage vehicle movements efficiently
Based At
The role can be based from whichever of our locations is most convenient:
Malton | York | Ripon
Travel between dealerships and external locations will be required as part of the role.
