Position
British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Platforms Executive in Chiswick, London. As a Digital E-commerce Platforms Executive, you will support the evolution of BAT’s digital platforms, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure strong execution, quality standards, and consistency across markets. Your role will involve coordinating platform enhancements, driving deployments and migrations, maintaining governance and best practices, and ensuring data accuracy and performance tracking. Understanding of digital platforms and UX/UI fundamentals, and a structured, proactive approach to delivery and stakeholder collaboration are essential for success in this role.

You will have direct impact on the Western European digital business through ensuring our teams are using data that is up to date and well-integrated into our internal frameworks.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Deployments & Enhancements: Coordinate E-commerce updates, feature releases, migrations, and optimisations in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Data Quality & Performance Tracking: Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across digital platforms, supporting correct tracking, reporting, and insight generation to measure performance against key KPIs.
- UX & Premium Experience: Contribute to the enhancement of user experience and premiumisation initiatives throughout our websites by supporting testing, feedback collection, and implementation of UX/UI improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with markets, brand teams, IT, legal team, and external partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure platform solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Commercial & Sales KPI Monitoring: Actively monitor E-commerce performance and key commercial metrics (e.g. conversion rate, AOV, funnel performance, NTOs), identifying early signs of performance decline and proactively escalating risks or opportunities to enhance UX or conversion.
- Process & Documentation Support: Assist in maintaining clear documentation, processes, and ways of working across E-commerce initiatives to support efficient collaboration and knowledge sharing.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Business, E-commerce, Data, or related field preferred; additional certifications in digital analytics, UX/CRO, or marketing tools (e.g., GA, Shopify) plus a continuous learning mindset are advantageous.
- Experience in a commercial, performance‑driven digital role with exposure to sales, conversion optimisation, funnel metrics, and analytics tools such as GA4 and Adobe Analytics.
- Experience working with digital platforms/websites, including supporting website launches, enhancements, migrations, and feature releases.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Brand, CRM, Analytics, IT, Legal/Compliance, and external agencies).
- Strong project management skills, including planning, coordinating, and delivering complex digital projects.
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and drive own tasks and priorities.
- Ability to track, monitor, and report on digital performance using analytics tools to support data‑driven decision‑making and optimisation.
- Desirable (not essential) Exposure to A/B testing and customer journey optimisation, with familiarity in tools such as Contentsquare, Qualtrics, UserTesting, and knowledge of UX/CRO and experimentation methodologies.
