BAT UK is looking for a GLP Transfer Price Manager.

Job Type: Fixed term until 1/07/2028.

Function: Operations.

Salary Range: Competitive salary package + excellent benefits + market leading bonus.

Location: Southampton, United Kingdom.

Role Summary: This role is a key member of the team in GLP, working in partnership with the Business ensuring financial implications are being considered, leading the Annual Transfer Price calculation, and building a key control environment enabling the Business to sign off on all relevant controls. Preparation of GLP Group and Statutory reporting, including key accounting processes to ensure the integrity of the financial documents and completeness and accuracy of all related transactions as well as budgeting processes and the preparation of financial and non-financial information to aid decision making.

Direct Impact: This position is tasked with Business Partnering Demand to ensure ongoing leaf supply across the Group and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of Transfer Prices. It ensures a key control environment which is SOx compliant as well as helping to maintain complete and accurate financial reporting and deliver a robust budgeting process.

Reports to: Senior Finance Manager – GLP.

Core Relationships:

  • Internal: GLP Directors, Group Tax, GLP Sourcing & Supply Chain teams, Internal Audit, Group Statutory Accounting, Group Treasury, End Markets, Legal and HR.
  • External: KPMG, Leaf Suppliers, Logistics Suppliers, DHL, Banking Partners.

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time in domestic and international travel.

Role Duties And Accountabilities:

  • Ownership of Control Navigator, ensuring timely completion across the Business.
  • Business Partnering across the Demand and Supply Teams ensuring ongoing leaf supply and understanding of the Transfer Price process and impacts.
  • Performs month end quarterly close, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial information and interrogation of any unexpected variances.
  • Provides resilience and accuracy across our budgeting processes, ensuring assumptions are robust and challenge where necessary.
  • Responsible for the completion of SOX Controls, and liaison with audit teams in the review and testing of these controls.
  • Sharing insightful financial analysis showing the financial implications of decisions and helping the business units get approval for commercially viable cases, budgets and investment proposals.
  • Building financial and commercial awareness within areas supported and challenging business managers to improve performance.
  • Drives continuous improvement across the team ensuring processes and ways of working are fit for purpose.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of SOX including experience in develop, implementation and execution of control environments.
  • Experience dealing with auditors and other external partners.
  • Proven experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance measurements, project evaluation and commercial competence.
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills:

  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance systems (i.e., SAP / BPC).
  • Able to influence and challenge more senior partners.
  • Ability to simplify sophisticated situations and synthesise, communicate and present complex information.
  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro‑active, collaborative and consultative.

Education / Professional Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Degree educated or relevant professional qualification with at least 5 years’ relevant finance experience encompassing either finance business partnering or financial accounting and reporting.
