We are seeking a Head of Biodiversity Job Share to work closely with their colleague in this role to jointly direct and co‑coordinate the BCT Biodiversity team and maintain BCT’s authority as the UK’s leading bat conservation non‑government organisation (NGO). This role is a key contact with a wide range of BCT partners including government agencies, non‑government organisations, professional bodies and industry, and oversees the management of BCT’s biodiversity, built environment, woodland, agriculture, wildlife crime, advocacy, and policy programmes.

A good understanding of legislation and policy in relation to protected species is essential, along with strong experience in the planning and development sectors and licensing. This post may be carried out substantially from home with attendance at our office in Battersea, London as needed. Regular travel is required to attend meetings and events in London and elsewhere.
