Our very well established multi-office independent client, with a recognised brand name, based in Lee in South East London SE12, are looking for an experienced Head of Property Management to join their busy property management and lettings business. The successful applicant will be responsible for a team of 3 property managers and collectively managing a portfolio of properties. Therefore, they must be able to manage their own workload and also delegate to others, keep on top of any issues and prioritise jobs as necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing other property managers
  • Team meetings
  • Maintenance coordination
  • Implementing excellent relationships with all contractors
  • Experience in lettings accountancy/reconciliations
  • Deposit handling
  • Rent reconciliation
  • Demonstrating a track record of managing rental properties
  • Being fully conversant with current regulation/legislation and processes surrounding APT Property Management
  • Tenant referencing
  • Referring business across departments to maximise business opportunities
  • Experienced in using lettings and property management software CRM systems
  • Handling complaints and providing solutions
  • Maintaining policies and procedures in accordance with company policies
  • Ensuring compliance with all property management legislation
  • Supporting and guiding the team when required
  • Making sure the property managers complete the inspections correctly

The successful applicant will need to possess the following skills:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in managing a team of property managers
  • Minimum 3 years property management experience
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • Experience with property management software packages
  • Professional ARLA - MARLA accreditations would be seen as a strong advantage but not essential
  • Ability to manage their own workload
  • Experience in dealing with all section notices
  • Full valid driving licence is essential

The hours will be: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm. One Saturday a month 9.00am - 4.00pm. Salary range will be: Basic salary to be discussed and depending on experience from £38,000 - £42,000 pa plus commission. OTE up to £43,500 pa.
