Immediate opportunity for an experienced Architect or Architectural Technician with strong technical knowledge and a creative eye. You’ll work across a range of thoughtful, high-end residential projects – both in London and abroad – creating schemes that balance comfort, practicality, and timeless style. You’ll be involved in every stage of the design process, from concept through to completion. This includes developing design concepts, preparing presentation and drawing packs. This is the ideal role for an ambitious experienced Part 2, Part 3 Architect or Technician looking to take on greater responsibility and run jobs.
The Role
- Prepare planning drawings for submission to statutory authorities
- Produce technical 2D and 3D design solutions using AutoCAD and traditional methods
- Support Project Architects and Directors with production information
- Liaise with consultants and manufacturers on materials and products
- Assist in preparing detailed construction packages and specifications
- Carry out technical research and quality inspections (including snagging)
- Undertake site visits, surveys, and progress reviews
- Prepare visuals, sketches, and standard details to support the design team
- Contribute to the detailed design of smaller schemes and layouts
- Ability to work autonomously with support from management
About You
You’re a creative, organised all-rounder architect/technician who enjoys collaborating and thrives in a hands-on studio setting. You’ll bring:
- Experience Part 2 or Part 3 qualified
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up or equivalent 3D software
- Experience working from concept to on-site completion
- Experience working with clients, contractors and consultants
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and NBS specification writing
- Ability to work autonomously
- A background in high-end residential
- A friendly, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Listed buildings knowledge would be an advantage but not compulsory
- 5 years' experience post qualification
- Right to work in the UK
Studio Culture
This studio is based in Chiswick, London and prides itself on collaboration, creativity, and a genuine care for the clients. You’ll work directly with the studio lead, gaining exposure to every part of the design process and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your own voice as a designer.
Salary: £38K-£42K year depending on experience
