  • Relevant facilities, health & safety oroperations management qualification desirable (e. g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Facilities Management)
  • Proven experience in facilities, estates oroperational management, ideally in an educational or similar environment.
  • Experience of managing staff, contractors andday-to-day operational teams.
  • Experience in health & safety compliance, risk management, and statutory inspections.
  • Experience managing budgets, procurementprocesses, or contracts.
  • Sound understanding of health & safetylegislation, statutory compliance and risk management in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, estatesmanagement and premises operations.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work tomeet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build effective working relationships with staff, contractors andexternal partners.
  • IT literacy, including use of Microsoft.
  • Office and online record-keeping systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability torespond effectively to operational challenges.
  • Reliable, flexible and able to respond tochanging demands.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with theability to work independently and as part of a team.
