Responsibilities
- Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within this small branch.
- Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
- Building rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales.
- General warehouse duties including goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders.
- To be a key holder for the branch.
Working Hours
This is a full‑time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00pm.
Qualifications
- Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
- Prior experience in a Face to Face customer service/sales environment.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
- Some warehouse knowledge.
- To be a team player who is happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly.
- Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence.
- Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
