Waste Management Operative – Permanent

Waste Management Team

Salary Grade 3 £26,824 - £28,598 per annum

Full Time, 37 hours per week

Working week: Monday to Friday

Work will be required on Bank Holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Start time: 6:30am

Finish time 2:30pm

Are you a team player who takes pride in keeping our streets clean and our community thriving? We’re looking for dedicated individuals to support the effective delivery of the Council’s Waste Management Services.

What you’ll do:

  • Collect refuse, glass, and food waste from homes.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ensure bins are emptied safely and returned to their original location.
  • Report issues such as missed collections or damaged bins.

  • Reliability and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support your team.
