Bassetlaw District Council is looking for a proactive and organised Recruitment Coordinator to join our Recruitment team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a professional, efficient and compliant recruitment service at a time of significant transformation across local government. As we continue to prepare for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), this role will directly support the Council in attracting and onboarding the talent needed to deliver high-quality services for our residents.
About the role:
- Coordinating recruitment campaigns across a range of services
- Supporting managers with advert creation, interview scheduling and onboarding
- Managing ATS systems and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safer recruitment and right-to-work requirements
- Acting as a first point of contact for recruitment queries
- Supporting continuous improvement of recruitment processes and candidate experience

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experienced in administration or coordination roles (HR experience desirable)
- A strong communicator with a customer‑focused approach
- Comfortable working with HR systems and digital processes
