Customer Services Advisor – 9 month Fixed Term with potential for extension. Part Time, 29.6 hours per week. Join our Customer Services Team based primarily at our Retford offices with flexibility to work at other sites as required. In this role you will deliver a high-quality, front-line service as the first point of contact for customers, handling a wide range of enquiries relating to Benefits, Council Tax, Housing, Planning and other Council services, and operating the Council’s switchboard facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver front‑line customer service to callers and visitors.
  • Respond to enquiries about Benefits, Council Tax, Housing, Planning and other Council services.
  • Operate the Council’s switchboard facilities and route calls appropriately.
  • Provide accurate information and support to customers and maintain customer records.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with data protection policies.

Key Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional, courteous approach with strong teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to meet service demands and adapt to changing priorities.
