Triage and Accommodation Officer Housing Department Salary Grade 4 £29,542 - £32,046 per annum Full Time, 37 hours per week Help people find solutions, stability and a place to call home. If so, we'd love to hear from you. Bassetlaw District Council is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Triage and Accommodation Officer to join our Housing Solutions Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support residents facing homelessness or housing difficulties while helping to deliver effective housing solutions across the district. About the Role As the first point of contact for residents seeking housing assistance, you will play a crucial role in helping people access the support they need. You will provide advice, guidance and practical assistance to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, carrying out initial assessments in line with housing legislation and statutory guidance. You will also help coordinate and manage temporary accommodation placements, ensuring that residents are supported appropriately while longer-term housing solutions are explored. No two days are the same. This is an exciting and varied role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives while developing valuable skills and experience within housing and homelessness services. About You We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people, committed to delivering excellent customer service and eager to learn. Whilst experience of housing, homelessness or tenancy services would be beneficial, it is not essential. We recognise that valuable skills and experience are gained in many different sectors and environments. If you have experience in customer service, health and social care, support services, benefits, advice work, public services, voluntary organisations or other people-focused roles, we would welcome your application.
