Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and driving positive change? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Health & Safety Officer to join our shared Safety and Resilience team, supporting services across Bassetlaw and Mansfield. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll provide expert advice, support managers to manage risk effectively, and help embed a strong, proactive health and safety culture across a diverse range of council services.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide practical, risk-based health and safety advice across the organisation
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring
  • Lead or assist with incident investigations and reporting
  • Help develop policies, procedures, and training initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with teams to drive continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and experience in a H&S advisory role
