Are you organised, customer-focused and looking for a role where your work makes a real difference to local communities?
We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Housing Assistant to join our busy Empty Homes Team within Housing Services. Based at our offices on Hundred Acre Lane in Worksop, you'll play a key role in helping us prepare empty properties for new tenants, ensuring people can move into safe, high-quality homes as quickly as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple tasks and building positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors and customers.
What you'll be doing
As a Housing Assistant within our Empty Homes Team, you'll provide vital administrative support throughout the empty property process, helping to ensure empty homes are repaired, prepared and ready for re-letting within agreed timescales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Liaising with contractors, housing colleagues and other services involved in the process.
- Monitoring progress and supporting the smooth turnaround of vacant properties.
- Responding to customer enquiries and providing advice and information.
- Supporting the team to deliver an efficient and high-quality service.
What we're looking for
You don't need previous housing experience to apply. We welcome applications from people who can demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills and who are keen to learn.
