Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council are recruiting a Streetscene Operative to "Make a Difference" in the local area. This role will focus on delivering a range of Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance services based on local council priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with people and providing excellent services to enhance local environments. Our aim is to make Basingstoke a better place to live and work.
You will play a key part in providing these services, ensuring work targets are achieved efficiently and effectively. Ideally, we are looking for applicants that have experience working in a similar field but also show a willingness to learn new skills to become an experienced person in operational maintenance.
Applicants must be reliable and demonstrate the core qualities required to work in a frontline service role. They need to be highly motivated, have a good aptitude for tasks undertaken, pay attention to detail, be organised, have good communication skills, and be able to take direction whilst having a proactive and flexible approach to work.
Key Requirements- Demonstrate good communication and customer care skills.

- Be physically fit and capable of carrying out the often-demanding work tasks.
- A full clean driving licence is essential.
You will be based at the Wade Road offices and adapt to working from other council premises when required.
