At Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council we value our residents and are committed to delivering high quality services. To support the customer experience journey, a new role has been created for a Digital Project Manager to join its Programme Management Office (PMO) and Improvement Service.

The service sits within the Customers, Digital and Improvement Directorate providing strategic advice and guidance along with delivery of programme and project management, change management, continuous improvement, leading council improvement planning, performance management and the execution of the council’s digital programme. The team works closely with all council services including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Communications and Marketing and external partners to ensure successful outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to manage the full lifecycle implementation of a number of concurrent projects including but not limited to:

  • Customer Relationship Management system
  • M365 Security and Governance and solution development
  • Telephony
  • IDOX
  • Business Intelligence

As a Digital Project Manager you will have a clear understanding of project management methodologies, be reliable, confident, and proactive, with a flexible approach. You should be able to provide robust advice and guidance within this discipline, embrace and drive change, meet deadlines, and communicate positively and effectively.

You will have considerable experience in a similar position within the Digital IT sector, preferably within the public sector, and be able to demonstrate successful experience of SharePoint Implementation.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Recognised Valid Project Management PMQ (level 4) or Prince 2 practitioner certification
  • Valid ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • Ideally a valid Change Management Foundation certification
