We are seeking an Experienced Tractor Driver to carry out operational tasks across Parks, Highways, Housing Estates and Landscape areas in Basildon Borough as part of our Neighbourhood services team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all size tractors from mini compact to 100 hp large agricultural type.
  • Operate ride on grass cutting mowers, manual machinery including hedge trimmers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers, blowers.
  • Assist in manual tasks such as tree and shrub planting, general gardening tasks, litter picking and loading heavy items.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years proven experience operating tractors.
  • Experience operating side arm flails, rear trailed ganged mowers, sports turf machinery, slitters, overseeders, verti drain, rollers, harrows, cultivators.
  • Experience with front loaders with bucket/pallet forks and towing trailers and heavy loads.
  • Farm work tractor driver experience equivalent.
